MB Models was established in 2005 and is run by its founder Michael Ball and a small team of employees, with a combined experience of over 50 years in the industry.
Michael’s love of cars started when he was a young boy helping his Dad fix cars on the drive. This quickly grew into an obsession and at the age of 8 he had his first RC car which was purchased from an electrical store called Tandy. By the age of 12 and several Tamiya kits later he joined the local RC Car club. His first memory of RC car racing was with his Tamiya Isuzu Mu where the mechanical speed controller set on fire.
Fast forward to 2015, Michael moved the business to its current premises within the grounds of Oulton Hall. This move created the space needed to house the growing range of products and provide the space required to open MB Raceway, which is the UK’s premier indoor racing venue.
